Why It Matters
When you apply shielding paint or build RF/EMF protective surfaces, continuity and grounding are essential for effective protection. Gaps, seams, or un-grounded coatings can significantly reduce shielding performance. This shielding paint tape ensures a continuous conductive connection, linking painted surfaces and helping channel stray electromagnetic fields safely to earth. Using tape properly helps maintain effective high-frequency and low-frequency attenuation across walls or ceilings.
Features & Benefits
Self-adhesive conductive tape designed to bond to paint, fleece or netting shielding systems
Discreet under topcoat layers after painting, however it can sometimes still be seen
Corrosion-resistant materials for long-term durability
Provides reliable grounding path when used in conjunction with shielding paint or conductive coatings
Helps maintain shielding performance by eliminating “leaks” caused by gaps or unconnected surfaces
Ideal For
Homeowners or renovators applying shielding paint to walls or ceilings who want complete, effective shielding coverage
Bedrooms, offices, or rooms being converted into RF-protected or low-EMF zones
Professionals or DIYers who value correct grounding and maximum shielding performance
Specifications
Tape width: 25 mm
Tape thickness: Approx. 0.11 mm
Materials: Polyester backing, copper/nickel conductive layer, conductive acrylic adhesive
Length: available in 10 m or 50 m rolls (select length at purchase)
Corrosion-resistant and suitable for use under subsequent paint or topcoat layers
Application: It is usually put on just above the skirting and in the corners of the rooms, at the same time the grounding plate can be installed on top of the grounding tape next to a power point in order to obtain an earth. This part should be done by a licensed electrician. The final shielding coat can then be applied, even over the grounding plate, before the undercoat and final top coats can be painted.
